Seeing the whales a few days ago was fun. Thrilling, even. The Hubbard Glacier was awe-inspiring.
Today our port-of-call was Juneau, where we went “flightseeing” over 5 glaciers in the Juneau Ice Field, including Mendenhall. To me, it was by far the coolest part of the cruise, as I was able to ride shotgun in the cockpit of the single-engine seaplane. I’m guessing that we were flying at 5,500-6,000 feet, maybe 100 feet below the clouds.
What a rush!!!
