Alaska – Day 1 (…it was good)

Day 1, Friday, July 6
4 airports (Houston Hobby, DFW, Seattle-Tacoma, Fairbanks) and 3 flights spanning about 4,200 miles in 15 hours. As we flew from Seattle to Fairbanks, it was my good fortune to have a window seat. From that vantage point, I was able to look down on snow-capped mountains, rivers, and (I’m pretty sure) a glacier or two.

As I watched from that perch, I was reminded of the view God had, and I think I can understand – to a very limited extent – how He felt when He created it:

Then God said, ‘Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear…And God saw that it was good.”

Not that my opinion matters, but I agree.
